Microsoft updates Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview and takes the opportunity to include new phones released last month.
The new Lumia phones released by Microsoft in November have Windows 10 Mobile, they were previously incompatible with the Windows Insider program to get new versions of the system in advance, for their developments. This lack was not due to incompatible hardware, but simply to the fact that Microsoft must manually add phones to the Insider program by compiling builds specifically for each device model.
With the release of the new build 10586.29 providing bug fixes, the company took the opportunity to make this addition and Lumia 550, 950, 950 XL and LG phone launched exclusively in the United States can now be entered in program.
Microsoft also took the opportunity to update Windows Device Recovery Tool by which one will be able to reset the new phones to previous version, if by chance, a future build has problems.
As with Windows 10 in July, although Windows 10 Mobile is now available from Microsoft, the company will continue to develop new updates and therefore will not stop the Windows Insider program. The teams are already working to develop Windows 10 RS1, codenamed “Redstone” and the first Insider build will soon be available to program members.
